Darius co-founded The American Institute for Roman Culture in 2002 and as served as its Executive Director since with the goal to preserve and protect Rome’s extraordinary and unique cultural legacy through education, outreach, and action.
Through its unique outlook, partnerships and sponsorship AIRC facilitates

- visual communications using video, photography and social media);
- in-person school visits;
- online site-specific lectures;
- preservation initiatives
Ancient Rome Live
Created in 2015, Ancient Rome Live is a multi-platform learning experience which brings the Roman world directly into the classroom with free and original new media content including video, photography and live-streaming.
Ancient Rome Live is an entirely free-to-access resource, utilized not just by teachers around the world, but by thousands of history enthusiasts globally.
